Hello

Meet Your Osteopath: Antonia May, M.Ost

At the heart of my practice lies a deep passion for helping others, and my mission extends beyond simply alleviating pain. I am dedicated to guiding and empowering you to move better, feel better, and embrace the healthiest, most vibrant version of yourself. Every treatment I provide is thoughtfully crafted, integrating all elements of Osteopathy to address not just the symptoms, but the underlying causes. My approach is rooted in building a trusting and honest relationship with every individual who steps into my treatment room, ensuring that you feel truly supported on your journey to well-being.

My Clinical interest is particularly focused on women’s health, with a particular passion for pre and postnatal care.

A Little About Me...

I graduated in 2021 with an integrated Master’s Degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of St. Mark & St. John (Marjon’s). After completing my studies, I began my career as an associate in a multidisciplinary practice in Devon, where I had the opportunity to refine my skills and deepen my knowledge.

In April 2022, I founded Tamar Valley Osteopathy, driven by a desire to bring the remarkable benefits of Osteopathy to my own community. Since opening Tamar Valley Osteopathy, I have been privileged to treat a diverse range of patients, addressing conditions that range from pregnancy-related aches and pains to lower back issues, shoulder and neck discomfort, and general joint pain.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and have completed several courses in women’s health. These include Osteopathy during pregnancy,  Women’s Abdominal Visceral Mobilisation, Internal Pelvic Floor Assessment, and Mummy MOT Practitioner training. These advanced qualifications enable me to offer specialized, compassionate care that is tailored to the unique needs of women, particularly during the transformative stages of pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

When I’m not in the clinic, I cherish spending time with my family. Being a mother to my two girls is a true joy and passion of mine. I also love to unwind by swimming, reading, and exploring the stunning Devon and Cornwall countryside with my Springer Spaniel, Kit.
